Mr. Gruber: As much as I can say that there's few places I'd rather be, I am sorry I have to say I can't be in Prague this April. I am sorry not to be able to come. I've cc'd the CCI director about alternatives.

	Dear Mr. Lessig,

I'd like to invite you on behalf of both Czech Creative Commons localization and Free Culture translation teams for a joined launch event on the 16th April in Prague, Czech Republic. My name is Lukas Gruber and I represent the National Library of the Czech Republic (the CC public project lead). I have got your email from Adam Hazdra who leads the Free Culture translation effort and whom I believe has already been in contact with you.

The event will take place at the conference room of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague during the day. It will begin with a press conference and CC usage workshop in the morning, and continue after lunch with the series of CC and free culture related presentations.

We would be really honored if you could come and give a short talk.

There are other activities we can organize for you while you are staying in Prague (i.e. visit Faculty of Law at Charles University or other institutions, if you are interested). Moreover, we are in touch with Alex Tarkowski, CC project lead in Poland, who came with an idea to invite you to Warsaw again after CC launch is over.

Since both projects are non profit and thus operate on a very limited budget, it may be difficult for us to fully cover your expenses. However, there are some funds available, so we would like to know your costs in advance and we will see whether we can work it out.

We believe your presence would tremendously boost attention this event, thus reaching a far broader audience and spreading the idea of free culture and creative commons among those who should benefit from it. We will also do our best to make sure you have a pleasant and inspiring stay in Prague.

Thank you very much in advance for any reply,

	Lukas Gruber
