Good News announcement!

On Monday 29th January, Justice Sullivan granted Bruce MacKenzie
representing Gargoyle Wharf Community Action Group permission to bring
judicial review proceedings against Wandsworth Council & Rialto Homes (the
developers) in regard to the proposed development of 5 sixteen-storey
tower-blocks (in an area on the Thames riverside where the Unitary
Development Plan stipulates that "building heights should not generally
exceed 6 stories"). The review has been granted on the grounds of an
"inadequate Environmental Impact Assessment".

Wandsworth Council & Rialto Homes will now have the chance to present their
opposition to that claim, which will then be followed by a full-hearing.

The Judicial Review will commence within the next few months.
