here is the most perfect response I can think of right now to Tony's thought
provoking and well-informed paper (ref:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/diggers350/message/869 ), about a new journal,
info concerning which was recently posted to the anarchy_africa e-mail list:

Dear Friends

I am writing on behalf of the World in Common Group regarding the imminent
publication - probably in January 2004 - of the first issue of our new
journal "Common Voice" (a special issue on ecology and environmentalism).

As you may know, one of the functions of the World in Common group is to
facilitate greater contact and collaboration between different groups -
anarchists, socialists, libertarian communists,
anarchosyndicalists, council communists and so on - within the broad
non-market anti-statist political sector. In this regard, we have been
influenced by the example of the now defunct, and sadly missed,
Discussion Bulletin. While no one is suggesting we sweep our differences
under the carpet, still less that we unite into one single monolithic
organisation, it is nevertheless the case that we all share significant
commonalities which need to be emphasised and celebrated much more than they
have in the past. That which divides us arguably pales by comparison with
that which unites us!

But, to get to the point - one of features that we would like to have in the
Common Voice journal is a contact list of various organisations/journals
within the non-market anti-statist sector. With that in mind, I am writing
to ask whether your organisation/journal would like to be mentioned in our
contact list and , if so, whether you would mind submitting a very brief
description of it (one or two sentences, please) plus a contact address.

Please let us know by contacting us as soon as possible via our website at
www.worldincommon.org or at: worldincommon at blueyonder.co.uk In case you
are interested, we have two discussion forums which you can join via the
website as well (or via http://groups.yahoo.com/group/worldincommon/. in the
case of our main forum)

We look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the best in your
endeavours

Fraternal regards

Robin Cox
