ROMA : FUTURE IN UK?

Roma are being targeted by the Home Office for "rapid removal" from the UK. Dawn arrests by snatch squads, imprisonment in detention centres and mass deportations are the tools used to get rid our people, week after week......

Much in the same way that local councils, backed by racist elements, engineer the eviction of Roma and other Travellers, even where we have purchased land and settled ourselves, as at >WOODSIDE<, and >DALE FARM< near Basildon.

These policies, masked behind immigration legislation and planning regulations, are in reality forms of >ETHNIC CLEANSING< and must be exposed as such and opposed.

If you agree you may wish to attend the two following meetings:

>ROMA REFUGEES IN BRITAIN<
January 28 6.30pm Brockway Room, Conway Hall,
25 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL
(Please note: previous info on this meeting wrongly gave venue as 280 St Ann's Road)

Ladislav Balaz, chairman of Europe-Roma, is calling for an end to deportation of asylum-seekers from countries which next year will be members of the EU. Why continue to cause misery?

This is also the AGM of Europe-Roma and a chance to join this refugee welfare and lobbying organization.

>STOP ETHNIC CLEANSING<
January 30 7pm The Wick, 25 White Post Lane
Hackney Wick, London E9 5EF
(near Hackney Wick Underground station)

1) VIDEO SHOW: >WOODSIDE<
The story so far followed by discussion on how to SAVE DALE FARM, the biggest Travellers' community in Britain.

2) CHURCH SANCTUARY: a project to help Roma refugees facing deportation.
