LAND ROOTS - Brief summary

We are a new group setting up in Nottingham, we are working towards
setting up as a ‘community interest company’. At present we have no
website, however we are working on this and aim to launch the company
asap, probably by December.

Brief aims:

We aim to raise money to purchase area/s of Land as LAND ROOTS
sustainable settlements.

We will work towards common ownership, and cooperative (full or part
time) living on the Land, to develop the land as a showcase of
ecological design and sustainable living.

We aim to organize and facilitate educational courses, and workshops on
the land, that relate to all aspects of the aims and objectives.

To offer people a home from home, a space to relax, to ground
themselves, to explore, enjoy, and work on the land, knowing that they
can return again and again and see the growth and progress of the Land
and community, inspiring a sense of belonging and longevity, without
having the sole financial and practical responsibility of the land.

To create a space where people from all cultures and backgrounds,
abilities and ages, may be included.

To manifest our best dream of life, for ourselves, the land and the
community.

To fundraise for the purchase cost of the Land, by selling Eco-Shares
in the Land at £250 each.

To network with the growing environmental, holistic and creative
community in Nottingham, and further afield, and create a LAND ROOTS
website to disseminate information about the progress of the project, to
its Eco-Share holders and the wider public.
