Tinkers' Bubble ecovillage, near Yeovil in Somerset, are holding their annual coppicing weekend on 19/20th February 2005. You can arrive on the Friday and leave after Sunday if you wish.
If you haven't coppiced before don't worry, there will be instruction
and supervision for novices. There's a fair amount of hard work involved but you can apply yourself to the task as little or as much
as you feel able. Meals and accommodation will be provided.
Essential items to bring are tough gloves, boots/wellies and warm/
waterproof clothing (depending on the forecast - see below). Please
also bring bedding, a torch, bowsaws, slashers, billhooks, loppers,
hand axes, chocolate and wine, if you can.
If you'd like to come and for further information please contact
anyone (except the children!) on 01935 881975.
