Rushcliffe borough council are proposing to build 1200 houses on greenbelt
sacred land

Sharphill is behind Wilford Hill cemetery, and many people scatter their
loved ones ashes up there... this is sacred ground and should be respected
as such, ..a place for nature - not concrete.

This land sale and development plan is about money money money, not
affordable homes, it is a prestigeous place with great views of the city
and surrounding countryside, and houses if built here will sell for
hundreds of thousands of pounds...who the **** can afford that???

I was up with the lovely people in the wood yeasterday evening and its
gorgeous up there, these are the heros defending our land, they deserve
all the support that we can offer... So If you want to help show your
support for saving this lovely bit of greenbelt from greedy housing
developers get up to Sharphill Woods next Sunday(21st May) for 11am for a
hands across the hill protest. Lets make it fun and give a good show of
strength in support of those that are camped up there.

Also Sharphill green fest...come up straight after the Nottingham green
fest on the sunday 4th june, which finishes about 5ish...all welcome...
bring your instruments...bring stuff to plant...bring your green
energy...needed accoustic bands to play till the wee small hours...
Forward to all your
friends!
