Newton Rebels Commemorative Weekend
400th anniversary of the Newton Rebellion 1607
Friday 8 June – Sunday 10 June 2007

Friday 8 June
7.00pm St Mary Magdalene, Geddington. Walk to Newton with drums and  
bells
17th Century Prayer Service in St Faith’s Churchyard, Newton.
Refreshments in the Newton Field Centre.

Saturday 9 June
10.30am – 5.00pm Sealed Knot Living History Camp.
11.00am & 3.00pm Perambulations to the site of the Enclosures.
2.00pm Sealed Knot display.
Captain Pouch beer specially brewed by Potbelly Brewery, Kettering.

Sunday 10 June
9.45am St Mary Magdalene, Geddington. Church service with 17th  
Century theme.
10.30am – 4.30pm Sealed Knot Living History Camp.
11.30am Sealed Knot display.
12 noon Gretton Silver Band (brass band)
12.30pm – 2.00pm Folk music
2.00pm – 3.30pm Rebels pageant, featuring local children and villagers
3.30pm – 4.00pm Gretton Silver Band (brass band)
Molly dancing from Ouse Wash Molly Dancers and local children.
Captain Pouch beer specially brewed by Potbelly Brewery, Kettering
