A contact in the USA just sent this over -- a pamphlet by Richard Gregg [
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Gregg_%28social_philosopher%29 ]. It's
well outside copyright so print-off/quote at your leisure.

It just says so much so simply! Written in 1936, but it's still very relevant
today, and it fits in really well with the whole peak oil/economic contraction
issue (if you've not seen it, have a read of my talk 'The Simple Future Beyond
Oil' -- http://www.fraw.org.uk/mei/papers/index.shtml#adderbury ).

"We are not for names, nor men, nor titles of Government,
nor are we for this party nor against the other but we are
for justice and mercy and truth and peace and true freedom,
that these may be exalted in our nation, and that goodness,
righteousness, meekness, temperance, peace and unity with
God, and with one another, that these things may abound."
(Edward Burrough, 1659 - from 'Quaker Faith and Practice')

Paul's book, "Energy Beyond Oil", is out now!
