The following information is not in Annual Abstract of Statistics which is otherwise comprehensive (it costs £50) Nor, I was told on enquiry, is it available in Office of National Statistics.
I received it from HM Treasury following a request.
As you will see from the copy e mail it was sent to ONS on 23rd Feb 2011 with a request to reply.
No repy has been received.l

This information is important for the following reasons.
The sums are £billions annually.
The sums are of interest at times when budgets are being cut.
The sums are politically controversial since parties support and some oppose EU entry
and this information informs the debate.

Would you pleae explain why this is not in AA?
Would you please consider including such info in the Annual Abstract?

Would you please reply to this request s.a.p.

*CAP payments of £3.4bn to private individuals and firms in UK
are included within the receipts figures shown and serve to reduce the UK’s
gross contribution. Designating them “Public Sector Receipts “ is misleading.

Similar stats were
received from HMT for each year since 1973 together with projections to 2016

HM Treasury advises the tables are published in
“Transactions with the European Union”

By HMSO.

The information was received from HM Treasury in response to
a Freedom of Information question. It is
unaccountably not available in Annual Abstract of Statistics nor held by Office
of National Statistics.

Please reply
