I've been considering getting a bunch of people together to *CAMP* on
Kinder. Unfortunately work's taken every spare moment for the last two
months and I haven't got around to doing anything. None of this namby-pamby
walking... I want full legal equality with Scotland to 'reside' on the
land!!
Camping wouldn't be a protest; it wouldn't be a demo. We'd just go an do it
in the same way as if we were going for a walk. Likewise if a large number
turned up we wouldn't camp together, but spread out around the area in
small groups (impact is everything -- the sheep have already done enough
damage up there!).
My idea was to backpack from Edale station and, depending on the weather,
camp at either Kinder Downfall or Kinder Low -- and then walk back to
Chinley station the next day (I did this years ago... makes a very nice
weekend's walking).
Any other backpackers interested?
