GOD AND THE GOOD LIFE: THE AUDIT
This will be the first of three interrogations that specify the terms
of the economic covenant with God that would create the Good life on
Earth. We remember that the Judeo-Christian covenant gave rise to
the three Abrahamic religions. The speakers will explore the
relevance of a theology of covenant in today's contemporary economic
and spiritual context. The aim of the day conferences is to inspire
and enable participants to understand and affirm the need for united
action concerning social, economic and structural change.
Planned speakers include Alastar McIntosh (Author of 'Soil and
Soul'), Canon Peter Challen (Christian Council for Monetary Justice)
and Fred Harrison (Author of the Traumatised Society).
This event is being held as partnershoip between the Moot Community
at the Guild Church of St Mary Aldermary, the Christian Council for
Monetary Justice and the Land Research Trust.

GREAT AWAKENINGS : THE APPLICATION
The aim of the day conferences is to inspire and enable participants
to understand and affirm the need for united action concerning
social, economic justice and structural change. The theology of the
Covenant will be examined in the context of the global crises of the
21st century.
In past times, periods of deep despair were transformed when people
awoke their consciences and implemented major social reforms. These
episodes were preceded by spiritual awakenings that fortified them
against powerful opponents. This history will be examined, to
consider the need for a new Great Awakening if mankind is to
effectively address the challenges of the 21st century. Speakers will
explain how they applied their beliefs in their fieldwork in both the
developed and developing world.
Speakers are to be announced, including Timothy Stacey, (Christian
Socialist Movement) Canon Peter Challen (Christian Council for
Monetary Justice), Fred Harrison (author of The Traumatised Society),
Christiana Fatoki (Visionnaire Consulting), Tarek El Diwany (author
The Problem with Interest), Christian Aid representative
This event is being held as partnership between Christ Church, North
Southwark, the Christian Council for Monetary Justice and the Land
Research Trust.

HOLY LAND: THE AFFIRMATION
The aim is to inspire and enable participants to understand and
affirm the need for united action concerning economic justice and
structural change. This conference explores how the Covenant with God
can solve the dispute in the Holy Land
The three Abrahamic faiths subscribe to the belief that land was the
Gift of God. As such, its possession and use is bound by a code of
conduct that ought to disallow blood-shedding contests over the
rights of access to land. This conference considers how the terms of
the Covenant may be applied today to enable the peoples of the Holy
Land to negotiate a settlement that would enable everyone to live in
peace as neighbours.
Can the Judeo-Christian and Islamic faiths unite behind a renewed bid
to end the tragedy of the Holy Land in terms that leads to the
building of a new Jerusalem? What are the issues facing the
evangelical movements that challenge the established churches?
Speakers include Prof. Marcia Pally (author of The New Evangelicals:
Expanding the Vision of the Common Good), Canon Peter Challen
(Christian Council for Monetary Justice), Fred Harrison (author of
The Traumatised Society), Barrister Ian Mason, (School of Economic
Science).
This event is being held as partnership between St James',
Piccadilly, the Christian Council for Monetary Justice and the Land
Research Trust.

Fear not therefore: for there is nothing covered that shall not be
revealed; and nothing hid that shall not be made known. What I tell
you in darkness, that speak ye in the light and what ye hear in the
ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. Matthew 10:26-27
