Based on official data, the homeless population among the people of 
color has surged by more than 60 percent since 2010 when Prime 
Minister David Cameron assumed power. The figure now stands at around 
20-thousand which indicates homelessness is rising twice as fast 
among ethnic minorities compared to other groups. Critics blame the 
sharp increase on the government's failed housing policy. They say 
without a change of course, more families will fall apart and more 
individuals will have to sleep on the streets in the years to come.
