translated a wonderful little book about the zad, *Defending the zad *by
writers collective Mauvaise Troupe <https://constellations.boum.org/>  Part
story telling, part manifesto, part historical chronology it is the only
english publication that exists about Europe’s largest post capitalist land
occupation, a kind of Commune for the 21st Century nestled in 2000 acres of
farm land, forest and wetland in Western France. On this liberated zone,
radicals from around the world, local farmers and villagers, trade unionist
and naturalists, refugees and runaways, Climate and environmental groups
from across France are working together to manage the usage of the land,
putting everyday life back in common whilst resisting the construction of a
new airport. The survival of the zone is in the balance at the moment and
international solidarity is key, if we win this, a huge crack in the
suicide machine of capitalism opens up in Europe, read and pass on this
beautiful book - *VIVE LA COMMUNE - VIVE LA ZAD.*
