This manifesto, written by The Land magazine and the Land Workers’  
Alliance, was launched at the Oxford Real Farming Conference in  
January 2016. It is directed at the progressive element of the  
parliamentay opposition.

Its underlying message is that rural disadvantage must be addressed  
by increasing the amount paid to food producers and other  
landworkers, and reducing the amount paid to landowners,  so that the  
balance between food and housing in a householders’ budget is an  
accurate reflection of demand on natural resources.
