Invitation: UK Land Policy Forum – 10th and Final Meetingg

Dear colleagues,

The LEGEND Core Land Support Team invites you to 
attend the 10th UK Land Policy Forum.

Date & Time: Tuesday 10 December, 2019 12:30 –“ 16:00 (UTC)
Location: Overseas Development Institute, 203 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NJ
Theme:  Responsible Land Investment – reflectting 
on learnings from LEGEND-CLST and looking ahead 
to DFID’s future programming on land

The first Forum meeting — held on 4 November, 
2015 at ODI —— concluded that the purpose of 
the Forum is to provide a focus for debate, 
information and lesson sharing amongst UK 
stakeholders to inform DFID and wider UK policy 
and programming for strengthening of land 
governance and land rights protection.

The 10th UK Land Forum meeting will focus on 
LEGEND’s learnings on responsible land 
investment and implications for DFID’s future programming on land.


Event Details


LEGEND-CLST will come to a close on December 31, 
2019, bringing to an end five years of work to 
enhance land governance for economic development. 
The 10th and final UK Land Policy Forum provides 
an opportunity to reflect on key achievements and 
learnings, and openly discuss DFID’s past, 
present and future programming around land.

The Forum will reflect on the most important 
findings from the past five years of the LEGEND 
programme, focusing particularly on progress on responsible land investment.

The half-day event will also allow policymakers, 
researchers, CSOs and private sector partners to 
find out more about DFID’s future plans on 
programming around land, as well as a chance to 
debate on and feed into that process.
