Dear GreenNet Member


We have been advised by our collocation providers that they 
have scheduled maintenance work on the network our servers are located on.

As a result of these changes our Network will appear offline for a short 
period from 11pm on Monday 8th March 2004. Our network will be offline 
for up to 30 minutes, although we will work with our supplier to ensure 
any downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.

Should you have any questions please email support at gn.apc.org or ring 0845 
055 4011 during office hours.

We apologise for the short notice. We have only been informed today by our 
network provider about this downtime.

Affected services: 

- - E-mail (POP,SMTP) - sending and receiving mail will not be possible. You 
will receive an error message along the lines of "Network unreachable". 
You will not lose any email. It will be kept in a queue on our secondary mail server and delievered once the network is up again.

- - Websites on Linux servers - the web sites will be unreachable.
