Activity update

For those who could not attend the TUC Congress in Liverpool this year, take
a quick look at our short slide show <http://www.ier.org.uk/node/413>  of
the joint IER and United Campaign fringe meeting. We also have links to an
article in the Morning <http://www.morningstaronline.co.uk/index.php>  Star
by John Hendy QC, repeating John's speech at the fringe. 

Later in the year, IER are joining with South East Region TUC to organise a
FREE one day conference <http://www.ier.org.uk/node/408>  for trade union
activists. The conference, organised to coincide with the 2nd anniversary of
the decisions in the European Court of Justice - Viking, Laval, Ruffert and
Luxembourg cases - will discuss the implications of those cases, how workers
are responding and what we should do next to protect jobs and terms and
conditions. Sign up for what promises to be a lively - and popular - event.
