The public sector is shrinking as a result of the government's austerity
measures, and workers' rights and public services are being undermined in
many different ways. Private businesses are taking over both front-line
service delivery and back-office functions. This event will look at a number
of issues facing the public sector - facility time, collective agreements,
privatisation and more, and will consider the implications of the profit
motive for workers rights in the public sector?
