> Major unions support launch of Manifesto for Labour Law
>
> The Communication Workers' Union (CWU), Trades Union Congress (TUC) and UNITE are the latest organisations to join the platform at the IER's launch of its Manifesto for Labour Law.
>
> The free Westminster event, on Tuesday 28 June, marks the publication of 25 policy recommendations for the next Labour government designed to inform labour law in 2020 and provide a viable and sustainable alternative to neoliberalism.
>
> Our proposals are the result of a collaboration between 15 leading labour lawyers and academics from some of the UK's most prestigious universities to draft a new Manifesto for Labour Law, which seeks to ameliorate the UK's enormous wage gap and improve the productivity of the UK economy by giving workers a voice.
>
> Dave Ward, General Secretary of CWU; Hannah Reed of the TUC; and Gail Cartmail, Assistant General Secretary of UNITE will now speak at the event, joining representatives from the Labour Party, IER, BFAWU, FBU and NUT as detailed below. The launch is free to attend and we expected a high turnout, so we encourage all interested parties to register their attendance on our EventBrite page so as to avoid disappointment on the night.
