TUC Congress and UNITE the Union have passed official motions <http://ier.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f121e48a8bb6d3101590c12d3&id=cd89e76c66&e=71131c031b> cementing their backing of the IER's Manifesto for Labour Law <http://ier.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f121e48a8bb6d3101590c12d3&id=9969193840&e=71131c031b> .
Congress carried Composite 07, which aimed to protect workers' rights after the vote to leave the EU, in part by promoting the IER's 25 policy recommendations.
This week, UNITE's Executive Commitee gave unanimous support <http://ier.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f121e48a8bb6d3101590c12d3&id=84dc9d570c&e=71131c031b> to the Manifesto, stating it should be the "blueprint" for the next Labour government - a view shared by Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell <http://ier.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f121e48a8bb6d3101590c12d3&id=ecb2057931&e=71131c031b> .
UNITE's motion said: "The publication of the Manifesto moves the debate on from a simple call to repeal the anti-union laws to a serious discussion about a holistic approach and a new framework for employment rights covering trade unions and all workers whatever their employment status, including access to justice for all."

Nine out of ten businesses say govt apprenticeship policy will not encourage them to hire apprentices
