The Institute of Employment Rights has updated its privacy statement as part of its compliance with new GDPR laws. Our renewed statement can be found below as it pertains to this mailing list, and on our website <https://ier.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f121e48a8bb6d3101590c12d3&id=8baa8a2a4d&e=71131c031b>  as it pertains to all of the services that we provide.

Why we collect and process your data

We collect your data to provide you with weekly news briefs and to keep you up to date with other IER news and activities, such as when we are holding events you may be interested in and when we are recruiting for new staff. The emails you receive help us to achieve our charitable goals of providing labour law education and informing the debate around possible reforms.

How we collect and process your data

We collect your data when you explicitly consent to it by signing up to our mailing list at an event, signing up as a paid subscriber, or entering your email address in the "join our mailing list" box on our website. Your data is stored on a secure database than cat only be accessed by approved Data Processors within the IER. We only hold your data for as long as is necessary to perform the functions you have consented to – in this case, for as long as you wish to remain a member of the mailing list.

When we share your data

We never share data with any other organisation. No third party will ever be given access to your data.

Your rights over how we collect and process your data

You have the right to ask us to remove your data from our mailing list at any time. You can do this by unsubscribing. You can unsubscribe by opening the .txt attachment on this - or any - email you receive from the IER, or by emailing Sarah Glenister <mailto:sarah at ier.org.uk> .
