Tories reveal plans to weaken Human Rights Act
After the Conservative Party said it would amend the Human Rights Act to prevent the investigation of the murders of Irish citizens by the British army during The Troubles, experts have warned about the harm that will be done to the UK's reputation and to our rule of law as a result.
As well as condemning the Tories for intervening in the course of justice, charities and lawyers said the move would be in contravention of the European Convention on Human Rights and could even leave the UK to withdrawing as a signatory to that agreement.
The result would be that domestic governments would be free to dilute the human rights of their citizens in any way they wished, which would put everybody in the UK at risk.

The aim of this pamphlet is to show how these zombie myths sustain a lifeless and inhuman politics.
