Book Now: Employment Law Update 2023

Our highly popular annual update on statute, case law and employment rights - 23rd March 9.30am - 3.30pm, London.

Every year, we bring together leading lawyers, academics and campaigners from across the UK to update delegates on developments in labour law over the previous 12 months and to suggest how workers can be better protected and prepared.
After over a decade of austerity, recent industrial hostility from employers like P&O, and as the cost-of-living crisis erodes the real terms value of workers’ wages, unions are ramping up collective action in order to regain previous levels of rights and wages for their members. Our experts from will be revisiting key cases on industrial and collective issues to demonstrate to delegates where the legal pitfalls and opportunities currently are.
With a raft of recent legislation aimed at making industrial action and demonstrations more difficult, and with increased powers to fine unions through the Certification Officer, it is clear there are existential threats to the trade union movement building. Minimum service levels are the most recent authoritarian laws to be proposed, but should not be seen in isolation.
As well as these important topics, our experts will discuss a wide range of burning issues from modern employment tribunals to key cases on religion and belief.

23rd March 2023 – 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
128 Theobalds Road, Holborn, London, WC1X 8TN
