The 155th annual TUC Congress took place in Liverpool this week, and as usual, the Institute of Employment Rights played a central role. To begin the week, we held a very succesful joint fringe meeting with the Campaign for Trade Union Freedom (CTUF), on Sunday night - the first day of conference. Thanks to Thompson's Solicitors for their kind sponsorship of the fringe.

You can read various reports of the event below, which was very well attended and followed by a fantastic social event organised by the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU).

Our stall was popular, as ever, with hundreds of delegates coming to view our huge timeline of anti-trade union legislation and repression. We also produced a six page booklet to go alongside the display, which was mentioned on the conference floor by RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch, as "essential reading" and delegates told us that they found our briefings and publications on the Minimum Service Levels, the New Deal for Working People, Health and Safety Regulation and Working Time immensely useful. You can still access these resources via our TUC Congress Hub page (see link immediately below)

Another excellent week for the IER in our home city, Liverpool. We will see you again next year, in Brighton.
