It's not too late to join us tomorrow for our Employment Law Update.

Every year the Institute of Employment Rights (IER) holds a series of highly regarded events where delegates hear from our network of experts about the latest developments in employment law.

With a raft of recent legislation aimed at making industrial action and demonstrations more difficult, and with increased powers to fine unions through the Certification Officer, it is clear there are existential threats towards the trade union movement building. Minimum service levels are the most recent authoritarian laws to be imposed, but should not be seen in isolation.

As well as these important topics, our experts will discuss a wide range of burning issues around modern employment tribunals key cases.

Speakers

The event will be chaired by our Deputy Director James Harrison.

Jo Seery, Thompsons Solicitors – Holiday pay: updated case law

Paul Scholey, Morrish Solicitors – Discrimination law: latest developments

Prof Keith Ewing, Kings College London – Fair pay agreements, or a Ministry of Labour?

Prof Alan Bogg, Old Square Chambers – Anti-trade union legislation and false international comparisons

Jun Pang, Liberty – The Right to protest

Liz McKean, War on Want – The right to boycott

Adrian Weir, Campaign for Trade Union Freedom – The Right to strike

This event is kindly sponsored by Morrish Solicitors
