What is GEF?

GEF, The World Festival of Creativity in Schools, is a festival for
students, aged 7 – 18 years,  and their teachers, where they can compete
with other students from the whole world participating in competitions such
as exhibitions and performances of the Arts included in its programme.

A very important and unique international event of Creativity in Schools.

EVENTS 2007 

The events are divided in following arguments:

*        PERFORMING ARTS

*	EDUCATION AND TRAINING 
*	SOLIDARITY AND SOCIAL AWARENESS 
*	EDUCATION AND SPORTS 
*	SPECIAL PRIZES 
*	EXHIBITION AREA

During the finals stages we also organize meetings, seminars, workshops both
national and international.

Last years finals were under the patronage of  “Comune di Sanremo” and
supported by European Parliament, by the most important Ministers and also
by UNESCO,  UNICEF and ILO ( against child labour).

For the finals, GEF 2006, the participants were 3.000  with 7000 hotel
nights and over 17,000 visitors and audiences visited the exhibition areas
and the performances by schools from 40 Italian provinces and 24 schools
from other Countries.

Katia Ricciarelli was the patroness also for GEF 2006. Among our guests:
Amedeo Minghi, Liliana De Curtis (daughter of Totò), Daniele Piombi.

The increase of participants has been 75% during the last three years.

Last year not only the most important newspapers but also televisions as RAI
1, RAI 2, RAI Educational, Canal 5,  Italia 1, La 7, Primocanale, Telecupole
and radios like RTL, Radio 1 have  given information about GEF.

For the first time ever a school after winning “Schools Festival of Music”
in GEF has also participated in “Festival della Canzone Italiana di
Sanremo”.  It was a school from Scampia  Napoli.

Some students participating in “International Festival of Dance for schools”
has been admitted to the Dance Company “Ariston Proballet”.

It is possible to down load conditions of entry and registration form for

The dead-lines for registration in almost all the competitions is 28th of
February 2007.

COS’E’ IL GEF

Il GEF, Festival Mondiale di Creatività nella Scuola, è una rassegna di
manifestazioni che ha come protagonisti gli studenti e i loro insegnanti,
chiamati a impegnarsi e a misurarsi attraverso la partecipazione a un ampio
ventaglio di concorsi a sfondo artistico, a cui partecipano ragazzi e
ragazze tra i 7 e i 18 anni provenienti da ogni parte d’Italia e da tutto il
mondo.

Considerato l’evento più importante a livello nazionale e internazionale del
settore, il GEF rappresenta un’opportunità unica di formazione e di crescita
per i giovani, favorendo la socializzazione, il confronto e la
valorizzazione delle capacità individuali e di gruppo.

MANIFESTAZIONI GEF 2007

Le iniziative del GEF 2007, sono suddivise nei seguenti settori:

*          ARTE E SPETTACOLO

*          EDUCAZIONE E FORMAZIONE

*          SOLIDARIETA’ E SOCIALE

*          EDUCAZIONE E SPORT

*          PREMI SPECIALI

*          AREA ESPOSITIVA

Durante le fasi finali del GEF vengono altresì organizzati: incontri con
personaggi famosi del mondo dello spettacolo e dello sport, congressi,
convegni, workshop, seminari formativi, laboratori nazionali e
internazionali.

L’ULTIMA EDIZIONE

Il GEF è stato promosso dal Comune di Sanremo, patrocinato dal Ministero
della Pubblica Istruzione (Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per la Liguria), dal
Congresso del Consiglio d’Europa e dai più importanti Ministeri e
Associazioni, compresi UNICEF, UNESCO e ILO (agenzia dell’ONU che combatte
lo sfruttamento del lavoro minorile). 

Le fasi finali dell’ultima edizione hanno registrato oltre 3.000
partecipanti, di cui 2.500 presenti in Sanremo, per più di 7.000 presenze
alberghiere e 17.000 visitatori, con opere finaliste provenienti da 40
province italiane e da 24 Nazioni.

Il GEF, che negli ultimi 3 anni ha avuto un incremento di partecipazioni del
75%, è diventato l’evento più rilevante di Sanremo per incoming.

Madrina dell’evento anche per l’edizione 2006 è stata Katia Ricciarelli. Tra
gli ospiti: Amedeo Minghi, Liliana De Curtis (figlia del mitico Totò),
Daniele Piombi.  

VISIBILITA’

Il GEF ha una visibilità nazionale e internazionale. 

Del GEF hanno parlato: RAI 1, RAI 2, RAI Educational, Canale 5, Italia 1, La
7, Primocanale, Telecupole, RTL, Radio 1, emittenti televisive, radiofoniche
estere e testate giornalistiche nazionali e straniere.

Per la prima volta nella storia una scuola ha partecipato alle finali del
Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo. La scuola di Scampia è stata
individuata con la vittoria al “Festival della Musica Scolastica” del GEF.

Studenti partecipanti alle finali del “Festival Internazionale di Danza per
Scuole”  del GEF sono stati ingaggiati con contratti annuali da Compagnie
professionali come “Ariston Proballet”.
