One of our people here at the Kurdish Cultural Centre got a phone call
this morning from an Iranian border town. His cousin was on the line,
in tears.
He said a million people were still trapped in the mountains near the
Iranian border. It was freezing. People were starving. Families have
become separated. He'd lost his children in the crush. Somewhere up
there in the snows they were wandering, frightened and alone.
No aid has yet reached these people. Tomorrow a jumbo jet takes off
carrying a load of relief supplies sent by us in conjunction with a
major relief organisation.
Please help us to help these forgotten Kurds.
