The Pesticide Action Network North America Regional Center   
supports the work of pesticide reform activists with research    
information services on worldwide pesticide issues.  Our    
International Information Program houses a collection of over    
12,000 books, articles and audio-visual materials about    
pesticides, toxicity, pests, crops, alternative agriculture,    
regulation, trade, residues, international development and    
related topics.  These materials are supplemented by access to   
University libraries and some on-line databases.  We can also   
provide referrals to over 300 organizations which are a part of   
PAN International and the PAN regional centers in Africa,    
Latin America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.      
    
The Information Program staff includes a research team to    
respond to specific requests by phone, mail, fax and electronic   
mail.  Charges for Information Program services are based on a  
sliding scale depending on geographic location and ability to    
pay.  Requests from individuals and NGOs in developing    
countries are typically filled without charge, and are accorded 
top priority.  Information is usually provided within two 
weeks.  Requests may be made in English, Spanish, French or 
German;  in most cases, our response will be in English.
