Istanbul Police HQ attacked 

ANKARA (September 16, 1997 - Reuters) - A rocket was fired at
Istanbul police headquarters Tuesday evening, but no one was injured,
Anatolian news agency said.

The rocket either exploded in mid-air or missed the building.

A flag of the far-left Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front
(DHKP-C) was found next to the spent rocket launcher, TV news
channel NTV said.

The police building was the target of a similar attack in June for which
authorities blamed urban guerrillas of the DHKP-C.
