Dear Friends

Today is the Global Day of Action on Military Spending (GDAMS), co-ordinated
by the International Peace Bureau. Below is a reminder of the lecture I will
be giving this evening in Hereford on military spending/arms conversion etc.

Also today, our international partners, INES, have launched a new sign-on
statement entitled "Disarmament for Sustainable Development" aimed at the
Rio+20 summit in June - you can read the statement and sign at:
http://www.inesglobal.com/Disarmament-for-Sustainable-Development.phtml

Over 140 events are taking place in over 40 countries around the world as part
of GDAMS - for more details, see: http://demilitarize.org/

Best wishes

Stuart Parkinson.
