* Science4Society Week 2020

Each year, SGR promotes science education activities and resources which are
NOT sponsored by the arms and fossil fuel industries - as part of our
Science4Society Week. This year, S4S Week runs from 7th to 15th March, with
the theme being pollution and waste in its many forms. We have produced new
downloadable teaching resources called TRASH 'Take Responsibility and Show
How' - including lesson plans and ideas for activities.

* New weapon dangers:
Drone swarms, killer robots, 'usable' nukes, and space war

Dr Stuart Parkinson, SGR, will speak about the latest disturbing developments
in military technologies and how peace campaigners can challenge them.

Forthcoming presentation on Sunday 22nd March. It will be part of a Fringe
event at the Green Party spring conference in Brighton, entitled 'Preventing
war while tackling climate chaos'.

* The zero carbon transition: the missing peace

Dr Stuart Parkinson, SGR, will speak about how the essential issue of peace
can be incorporated into plans for the transition to a zero carbon economy.

Forthcoming presentation at the Uniting for Peace spring conference, London,
on Saturday 28th March.
