** The environmental impacts of the UK military sector

New SGR report by Dr Stuart Parkinson

The carbon footprint of British military spending is 11 million tonnes of
carbon dioxide equivalent, SGR's new report estimates - much higher than
official figures. This level is similar to the emissions produced by over six
million average UK cars in a year.
