INDUSTRY FORUMS - CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
----------------------------------------

The ICCVE 2012 will hold Industry Forums designed to facilitate broad discussions on various aspects of Connected Vehicles. Presentations about technologies, practices, markets, policy, and social implications are all welcome. If you are interested in speaking at the ICCVE 2012 Industry Forums, please submit a simple proposal to our Industry Forums Committee. Based on the submitted proposals, the committee will schedule forum sessions consisting of presentations and panel discussions. Each presentation will be 20-30 min, depending on how full the agenda of a session would be.

*** Simple submission ***
Too busy to write a detailed proposal? Don't worry. At this stage, you only need to send a simple email as your proposal to our Industry Forums Committee (forums at iccve.org). Just include the following items in the plain-text proposal:
- Title for the presentation;
- An abstract of the presentation (no more than 200 words);
- Name, affiliation, and email address of the speaker;
- A short biography of the speaker.
You will get a notification of acceptance in five working days, then you can start preparing your slides.

*** No copyright transfer ***
You keep the copyright of your presentation, so you can feel free to reuse it in part or in whole for other occasions.

*** Do not take the "Industry Forums" too literally ***
You are not an industry person? It doesn't matter at all. Speakers from academia, industry and government are all welcome.

*** Important Dates ***
Proposal Submission Deadline: Nov 16, 2012
Notification of Acceptance: 5 working days after your submission
Conference Dates: Dec 12-16, 2012

CALL FOR DEMOS
--------------

The ICCVE 2012 demo track provides a highly interactive way for researchers and practitioners to showcase their systems, applications, prototypes, or proof-of-concepts in any of the areas related to Connected Vehicles. We encourage demo proposals from both academia and industry. Submitted proposals will be reviewed by the Demos Committee and be selected according to the novelty, significance, timeliness, and attractiveness.

*** High exposure ***
Each accepted demo will be showcased in the hallway area of the conference floor for a half-day long session, allowing the demonstrators to have extensive interactions with the audience.

*** Simple submission ***
You don't need to write a formal, multi-page paper. You only need to send a simple email as your proposal to our Demos Committee (demos at iccve.org). Just include the following items in the plain-text proposal:
- Title for the demo;
- An abstract of the demo (no more than 200 words);
- Name, affiliation, and email address of the demonstrator(s);
- What will be actually shown during the demo (e.g. what features and scenarios will be demonstrated, what the audience will see and how they can interact with the demo);
- (Optional) Special requests about the facility, if any.

*** No copyright transfer ***
Demo owners are not required to transfer copyright.

*** Video demo and mock-up demo are also welcome ***
If it is too difficult for you to bring a live demo to the conference, a pre-recorded video demo or a mock-up demo is also welcome.

*** Facility ***
Each accepted demo will be provided with a table (1,500mm width), a power outlet (220V, 50Hz, 500W Max, Type-I) and wireless (shared) Internet. Demonstrators are expected to bring with themselves everything else needed for their demo. However if you have special requests such as a larger space, special lighting condition and so on, we will do our best to arrange them.
