Levellers’ Day is an annual open air event which commemorates
the three Leveller soldiers who were executed on Cromwell’s
orders in Burford Churchyard in May 1649.

Programme of events:
9.30 - 10 The Red Rose Folk Band back again to open proceedings

10 - 12 noon Speakers and debate

12.15 - 1pm Procession and Ceremony
around Burford with Woodcraft Folk and Cry Havoc Morris
ending with ceremony outside the churchyard gates.
Dedication led by Revd. Dr. Mark Chapman, Vice-Principal of Cuddesdon 
College, Oxford.
The Sea Green Singers sing ‘The Internationale’

1 - 2pm lunchtime entertainment Cry Havoc Morris. The Red Rose Folk Band

2 - 5pm afternoon entertainment
Attila the Stockbroker - England's top satirical poet, rabble rouser and 
mandola minstrel returns.
Geoff Berner - accordionist from Vancouver who plays a unique mix of folk, 
punk and klezmer.
Nick Burbridge from McDermott’s Two Hours - Irish influenced acoustic set
