Please feel free to add any comments on the comment reel attached to the
following article about the companies who have come together to reopen the
Earth Centre, here:

The many of the companies in the consortium - 'The Rapid Technology
Transfer Group' - who
are proposing to develop the site of the Earth Centre, near Denarby, S
Yorkshire (millenium lottery funded centre of environmental education, with
state-of-the-art high-tech renewable technologies, which has been abandoned
for last 5 years) are sound.

The plans by the 'Rapid Technology Transfer Group' (RTTG) for the Earth
Centre seem to be for a
centre of excellence with particular emphasis on ecological architecture
and low-carbon housing, judging by the identity of the companies in the
consortium.

Here is a list of who they are taken from the latest news update by the
Campaign to Save the Earth Centre:
Costain, White Design, eOn, Scottish Southern, Modcell, Royal Haskoning,
Complete Energy Solutions, National Non-Food Crops Centre, SITEC, MTech,
Pilkington, Peglers, Senior Architectural Systems, Glazpart, LBK Packaging,
JCB, Kita, Holz Schiller, Saint Gobain, Beta Technology, Stramit, Hemsec,

They have had alot of coverage on the local regional tv & radio, especially
after a number of the local campaign were not allowed to attend the 'Open'
public meeting organised by RTTG (despite the fact that those individuals
concerned supplied their personal contact details as requested as a
condition of attendance). They have been successful in exposing the
covenant attached to the 21 year lease on the site which states that it be
used for educational activities upon the receipt of funding from the
'European Regional Development Trust' (there are 14 yrs left on this
covenant).
