_Opinion_

The Left with all reformist and radical groups should become MUCH more
active to promote citizen-led direct democracy.

*Partial direct democracy* means introducing new methods in order to
improve the *indirect* democracy of parties and parliament. These
methods include the citizens' law proposal (initiative), the citizens'
referendum to veto government policy or law, and the "recall" of elected
office holders such as MPs, local councillors and city mayors.
