Reclaim the Fields South West Gathering

The first gathering for Reclaim the Fields South West will be happening
on the weekend of the 6th -7th August in Bristol. The gathering will
take place at The Factory, a squatted space and social centre at 2-8
Cave Street, St Pauls, Bristol (http://freefactory.wordpress.com). Food
and accommodation is available.

Reclaim the Fields is a constellation of young people and collective
projects willing to go back to the land and reassume the control over
food production. We are determined to create alternatives to capitalism
through cooperative, collective, autonomous, real needs oriented small
scale production and initiatives, putting theory into practice and
linking local practical action with global political struggles. For more

Confirmed workshops include how to access land, liberation permaculture,
women and food production, Community Supported Agriculture structures
and manifestos for community ownership. Visits to local growing projects
will also take place.

There will be opportunities to meet, network and discuss "Are we ready
to step up and take control of food production?" and how do we make this
happen in the South West.
