David Bollier will be our guest in the next event 
in our series of Meetings with Remarkable 
Commoners. We are truly thrilled by going to have 
David with us for an evening of candid 
conversations about the Commons as a model of 
ecological governance, how to roll back the 
capitalist enclosures, protect our commons, build 
new ones, and transition to a sustainable world.
David is also the co-editor with Silke Helfrich 
of the brand new anthology, "The Wealth of the 
Commons — a World beyond Market and State." In 73 
timely essays by a remarkable international 
roster of activists, academics and project 
leaders, this book chronicles ongoing struggles 
against the private commoditization of shared 
resources - often known as market enclosures - 
while documenting the immense generative power of 
the commons. (One of those essays is about our School of Commoning.)
The Wealth of the Commons is about history, 
political change, public policy and cultural 
transformation on a global scale - but most of 
all, it's about individual commoners taking 
charge of their lives and their endangered resources.
