The Prince of Wales recently urged people to buy British food whenever possible to save rural communities and the countryside from the grave danger they are currently in.
Writing for Country Life magazine he said that farmers make a huge contribution to the UK's food security, environment and prosperity.
But Duchy Organic, the premium organic food and drink brand sold predominantly through Waitrose, imports at least 32 different kinds of grocery for British farmers to grow however.
The groceries come from as far afield as New Zealand and include everything from carrots and potatoes to apples and parsnips.

The Duchy Organic brand is a partnership between Waitrose and the Duchy Originals company, which was set up by Charles in 1990.
The pair linked up in 2009 and Waitrose donate royalties to the Prince's charity in order to use the brand.

Clarence House told The Sun that the sourcing of produce for Duchy Originals is the responsibility of the supermarket.
The heir to the throne's comments came during his birthday barbecue at Cottlesloe beach in Perth on Saturday when he asked the guests to 'join with me in expressing as well our utter, total horror at what has happened'.
The night ended with the cutting of Charles' birthday cake with the guests swamped by torrential rain.
