Whitewick - this vid talks about what to do when you draw a blank at 
the land registry.
King Charles actually owns all freeholds, which he can take without 
compensation if he wishes. That might have been worth a mention 
cnsidering the headline, no?
Another way to uncver hidden landowners though is to move on to the 
land in question in a bender and see what papers arrive via the county court.
Its sad that Shrubsole refused to acknowledge ex-Sunday Times rich 
list journalist Kevin Cahill's research which he uses throughout his books
Kevin's Who Owns Britain's arguably better laid out too with a 
historical county-by-county background on the main land owning families

I was recently trying to find out who owned a little bit of land. It 
was proving quite difficult. I google why this was the case and Guy
